Noddy's

Well... Avon got back to me and told me Amy is to be servicing my street from now on. I'm pleased they looked into it for me, let me vent, and also had an asseptable result ;) (Super Nanny is starting her own vocab here). Wonder what happened to the lady who got so angry with me. She probably moved to Vermont to become a librarian...

So anyway, today I went to Noddy's to refill my lemonade bottles. Oh the drama, oh the pain! I could not find any bottles like the ones in the crate I was returning. I asked the guy if he had any of THOSE bottles. He looked for me and then said no. I said I will settle for the 900ml ones, but I am not happy that they are 900ml and they say that they are 1 litre. I said those same bottles also used to say 1.25l on them and he was like "that must've been before I started working here" and I said it was less than 3 months ago as we haven't been buying from them for very long. He went on about how he highly doubted that the SAME bottles would have labels of differing quantities. I didn't argue that one but I hate people treating me as stupid just because I come across as a little unsure of myself (because I'm not used to standing up to people like this). My whole family saw the bottles, the quantities on the labels AND saw Danny test the quantities by pouring water from one bottle to the next so don't treat me like I didn't look properly and don't know what I'm on about thanks.

I said I would buy the bottles anyway, even tho my husband wouldn't be very happy as he specifically told me to get the ONE LITRE bottles (heh, yeah, it's much like saying "my brother will bash you up" when in school). The guys excuse was that I am being charged for the 900ml ones, not the 1litre ones, so if anything they should put the price up on those ones (fine! I don't care... at least that would be HONEST). I told him that the way the labels are right now is dishonest.

I paid for my bottles and left. He was talking to the guy about it/me when I left. I do wonder if anything will be done. I doubt it. It SHOULD make them think tho, cos gee... it IS a legal thing. I don't care if I am paying for what I am getting. That's fine. But don't lie to me and tell me I am getting more than I really am.

Why not just buy lemonade from safeway? It sounds like what used to be a nice little home soft drinks delivery business is now run by greedy scumbags.
I surely wouldn't want to give them patronage if they're being deceptive like that.

Yeah.
I'm hoping to not buy any soon enough :P

But the reason we started going there recently IS to cut down the costs. Safeway specials are still usually more expensive than what we're getting now. Mind you... I think I DID calculate that at price per litre, when I thought I was GETTING a litre!

"She probably moved to Vermont to become a librarian..."

puahahahahahaha!!!!!!! So THAT'S where they're all coming from! Avon is banishing their angry reps to OUR library!

And GRRRRRR about the bottles!

Most apropos icon. *chuckle*

I need to get better at standing up for myself to people like that, too. :|

It's a big one to overcome.
I tell ya, if I wasn't a single mother for all those years I wouldn't have the guts to do a lot of things I do now. It is certainly character building (and no... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ;))
