I feel for poor Katie Holmes and what is expected of her during her birth, especially since she is only so newly converted to her religion.
I gave birth without drugs and all I can say for myself is, there was no way I could hold in the screams. For some semblance of dignity I tried! But I just could not.
I do wonder if the "rules" would be different if L Ron Hubbard was female.
I also wonder if the couple fights and raise their voices at each other whilst the woman is pregnant, and indeed when the kid is born, is this not worse than the screams of labour?
A lot of woman out there have a lot of trouble giving birth naturally. I wonder how Scientology accommodates that. I wonder if, if you accidentally scream during labour if your child will be scarred for life (then again, one could argue that perhaps it was Hollywood life that caused it...).
I suppose the best Katie can do is hope for a quick labour. I think it's cruel what they are asking of her, personally.
